Chasis and Brakes Monorail Assessment

The loop monorail at Chassis Brakes manufacturing factory located at 18-24 Abott Road, Seven Hills was redesigned in 1997. This monorail exhibits extensive corrosion in some places.

The monorail is currently operating to transport 5.1 tonnes SWL in different locations of the facility. Recently it appears that the monorail may have designed for a 8 tonnes safe working load. MWM was commissioned to determine the safe working loads of the monorail considering the wear and tear that took place in the past.

We undertook site visits, NDT test assessment and structural assessment of existing industrial shed for replacing the monorail.

Work Cover Project

MWM undertook the design verification of the Monorail systems for the Work Cover workshop at Londonderry, NSW. The project work includes the upgrade strategy of the existing monorails and subsequently supporting structures at the workshop building. MWM undertook design check for the building structures for the new monorail system in the building.
